Auto repair service near Lower Gwynedd, PA

Purchased car on ebay, listed as "drive it today". had shipped 300 miles away due to covid nonsense and upon delivery battery was dead...no big deal, replaced battery and took for a drive, noticed front end shake, took to garage where they found $2500 in repairs needed. Lower control Arm, Motor mounts broken, bad axle and airbag control module. this was just the safety defects...also needs water pump, brakes, belt, tires to name a few...has bolts missing underneath and so on. long story short, STAY AWAY!!! ripoff artists and cons...they should not be allowed to sell cars. and that is being kind....

Not recommended at all. Horrible service. OVERPRICED. Go in for a tune-up and am told engine needs replacing???? What's up with that? Tom Matthews was very abrupt with us. Basically told us, we owed him $250 for a tune up without even letting us know price first but engine would only last a month or so. Disagree with Marlene for sure - NOT honest, polite or caring at all.

I've been going to Hughes Auto Service for over 2 years now and can't say enough good things about them! They always do a great job and are extremely honest with me. I have an 18 year old Saturn which has been very good to me, but occasionally needs service. They always correct the problem and explain to me exactly what the car needed. They always call me before making any repairs to get my approval!!! That is very important to me. All the mechanics and the owner, John, are wonderful, hard working, honest people!!! Very millennial attitudes. Bad service. Got angry and abusive when I returned a negative survey. Did not reply when I requested names of their superiors. Owner ignored entire discussion. There were no positive Service reviews I could locate. Servicing a Land Rover in Willow Grove PA to Cherry Hill NJ is a fine example of bad to worse. My perfectly working LR was brought to LR in Willow Grove to fix a front seal leak. They fixed it and the leak got worse. They said they didn't do it. Brought vehicle to LR Cherry Hill, they said somebody broke it wherever it was fixed - without saying LR Willow Grove. LR Cherry Hill returned my car with a dashboard hanging off and wires hanging out and said I did it. Then they fixed it and broke my radio - they of course said I did it. I complained in THEIR survey, and ERIC TOLD me - like he's the one paying me - to come down and he'd fix it, then I was not to return to LR again - because I complained on a LR survey. Charming.. Awful technicians who can't seem to put your car back together again, terrible, remorseless service manager lacking any kind of accountability, and the prices? Ouch
