Auto repair service near Sandy Lake, PA

Do not use this shop. They are a bunch of lying cheats who extended my repair by over two weeks! They refused to contact me, my insurance company or the adjustor and my car just sat there for days! The only way anything ever got done was by me calling everyone. I will never use them again and I hope I can save someone the same trouble that I had.

They were absolutely AMAZING!My 19 yr old daughter who is away at college and was 6 hours away when we got the frantic phone call she had been in an accident.She told me how they sat her down, calmed her and explained what was going to happen to her car. After getting pictures of the damage and realizing her front plate was missing I called and spoke to him and he told me he hadn't realized it was missing (PA doesn't have front tags where MD does). I got a call back 2 days later while he was towing the car 60 miles to where our insurance wanted it to be repaired and told me he went back to the accident scene and found her plate for us. WOW! That is dedication! He only charged us 1 hook up fee and even waived the storage fee due to the weather and weekend. He was honest, more than fair but most of all he cared for my daughter and calmed her as if she was his own kid. I am glad he was there for her because being 6 hrs away I felt totally helpless. 5 STARS from the McCarthy's!

***BEWARE**** If your planning on getting any work done to your vehicle at this place you better get it in writing! We took our pick-up in to get just an estimate on brake work, we were suppose to be contacted to approve any work to be done...welll the guy TIM decided to do whatever he wanted to without our permission!!! And this was not only once but twice, he was told not to do the rear brakes and after talking to my husband and was told not to do anything else he did it anyway! Wow this is a great scam, don't pay and you don't get your truck back...$1100 worth of un authorized brake work done! I will be contacting the better business bureau about this place, I will be sure to pass the word on how they scam people and ignore what is said to them. If there was a negative 5 star rating that would be my choice, but had to put something to write this review~

STOPPED IN TO PURCHASE A 10" SPEAKER BOX FROM A LOCAL COMPANY AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD HAVE TO ORDER IT, AND IF I PAID FOR IT NOW THEY WOULD HAVE IT SHIPPED DIRECTLY TO MY HOME! WELL AFTER 2 MONTHS I HAD CALLED THE STORE IN FRANKLIN AND TALKED WITH THE SAME GUY WITH NO TEETH AND HE SAID THERE WAS NO RECORG OF ME BUYING THIS BOX AND I MUST BE MISTAKEN! SO TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND ORDER IT YOUR SELF FROM CRUTCHFEILD OR ANOTHER REPUTABLE COMPANY AND NOT XTREME AUDIO. Larry McCrea is dependable and honest. I have had him work in my cars for several years, and my mom's for many years. He's an excellent mechanic.

The work performed was done professionally timely and reasonably priced. I have been dealing with "Jack's" for over twenty years and have always had the very best service with them.

I recently took my VW Rabit to Mr. Hoovler to have the exhaust repaired. I told him to replace the cats. He had my car for a week and when I got it back the cats were missing and he put PVC pipe in their place. The PVC pipe was all melted where the car was parked. Mr. Hoovler stole the cats off my car to sell them. Bad service.

I was so impressed with not only the quickness but mostly the price. Had a garage tell me I needed breaks,shocks and an oxygen sensor & decided to take my ford crossover to Chuck Glenn's & found out I didn't need any of those things. Just a bad outer tie rod. So grateful to find a down home honest family run business that doesn't take advantage of a woman!!! They will be the garage I use rather than Verne's off 108 in slippery rock who talked me into a new engine only to find out 2 weeks later from dale Hinds that the motor mounts were rusted out so bad,beyond repair bad,that my car couldn't pass inspection or be repaired. How do you put in a new engine & not know the motor mounts were rusted out beyond repair? i sold the car & two weeks later the engine fell thru to the road will the girl was doing 70mph. jerk,I should have sued. Chuck Glenn's garage will be my go to & the one i highly reccommend. Thank you!!!
