I have been to this shop several times with two different vehicles. A 99 Nissan Pathfinder and a 92 Ford F150. The employees here are professional and always happy to explain anything you need them to. They have always been upfront about cost, and they are won't try to force you into work you don't need. People who are worried that they will get up sold on something they do not need should have no fear with this place. They do their best to get the work done quickly as not to leave you without your vehicle long. Obviously this varies based on what you are having done, but like the issue with price, they will let you know ahead of time so that you can plan accordingly. The longest I went was one week, but I was having a laundry list of stuff done to the F150. It is a family truck that sat for years without use. If issues arise during your cars stay they will inform you promptly. I have never left this place unsatisfied, and have made it a point to refer friends, family, and co-workers when they are having car troubles. Jordan M. Knoxville, TN

They really treat you like family!!! Fair and honest. Went out of their way to help us by providing roadside assistance and trying to get us on our way. They even let us hookup to water and power and stay in the RV at their shop while they made the repairs (and fed us supper). After we were on the road and had more mechanical breakdowns, they coached us via phone until we made it to our destination. I highly recommend this family owned business. They took a true interest in our safety and travel plans. Thank you so much to all the staff at Vickers!!

Carr's Auto is the worst! Called a day ahead of time and was told $75 for a tune-up (I had the parts already) he said it would take an hour. Sounds great right? Well this is where the story takes a turn. Take it in to them in the morning like I said, and when I get there they said they made a mistake and said it would take a little longer than they initially thought. So now he tells me $128 labor. I was annoyed but agreed on that price and left my vehicle with them to get the plugs and wires done. 5 hours later I get a call, and I'm expecting them to say it's done, but instead the guy says he told me wrong and it's going to be $328!!! Said he only quotes me for wires at $128. So I told them I will take it elsewhere since other local shops quoted me $150 and said it would not take more than 2 hours MAX!!! Complete waste of time on my vacation, avoid the headache and take it somewhere else!

I thought we'd try this guy after moving close to his place. we got a flier in the area. My regular mechanic quoted me 300 and Maddox was 325, but it was close and I figured it would be nice to have a mechanic nearby. I told him my son had been unemployed for several months and we needed to keep costs down in repairing his truck since he was selling it. He texted that the truck was ready the next day with a $446 bill!! I told him we did not have that and it was more than the estimate. He just kept saying its an "estimate" which means it can change and he found something else that had to be done to "get it right". In 25 years of having my cars fixed, never has a shop, individual or dealership gone ahead and repaired something else without calling for an approval of the price change over the estimate. NEVER. he would not back down. I called my church for help for the extra money,, but maddox would not take a credit card from the church and said cash only. So my church could not help without a paper trail for their records. He really put me in a bind and if that was not enough IT"S NOT EVEN FIXED right. When we drove off, we began to hear a rattle in the engine that was not there before but we do not trust the guy to take it back to him. DON"T GO here, find someone else with some good reviews.

Need a quality repair shop? Fred and his sons, are top shelf mechanics. I have know Fred for over 25 years, and from my point of view, I wouldn't let anyone else work on my vehicle. Prices are always disclosed upfront, and they always try to save me money on the parts costs. They have worked on my vehicles numerous times, and I have never had a bad experience. We purchased an Aztek from the owner of Neal's. He was NOT TRUTHFUL and forthcoming in all that was wrong with the car. The day after purchasing it from him, cash deal, we found out that it has MAJOR transmission problems along with some other things that add up to a lot of money. My son-in-law is in the Marines and he and my daughter were looking for a safe dependable vehicle for her and their three children. This, Neal, runs an auto garage and HAD to be aware of all the things that were wrong with the car before he sold it to them. My son-in-law and daughter live on military salary which is not much, and yet this jerk took advantage of them and their desperate need for a car. He had told them even that the car in question had been his wifes daily driver. This guy was only interested in the money. He has no conscience, or he would NOT be able to deceive people in this way. The car has been in the shop since two days after purchase, and the costs to repair are really adding up. So far well over $1,500 and counting. DO NOT TRUST this guy!!!!! This place was awesome, they gave me a better price than any shop in the area and it came with a better warranty so i was totally sold! They took care of my car quickly, i highly recommend them!
