Auto repair service near Charles City, VA

I have spent thousands of dollars with this business. I spent $2,700 on my pickup. had intake gaskets installed. ran fine going back and forth to the pharmacy, grocery store etc. The first time I ran it up to highway speed the lifters started rattling on the James River bridge, no where to pull over. When I got the truck back, the owner opened the hood, as I followed him back in the service area he told the service writer to send someone down to Haley Ford and get the right oil filter for my truck that had only 90,000 miles on it. When they drained the fresh new oil it looked like a 1970's metal flake paint job......I changed the oil in it for 10 years until I wasn't physically able to...… They pretty much said sorry about your luck. they are the only people I trusted to even touch my vehicle.....I raised 3 children as a Class A Mack truck mechanic. I realize that people make mistakes, but should stand behind them....

I found this shop last year and had no doubts I would be going back whenever I needed service.The work done was quick and very fair priced! It is very hard this day and age to find a repair shop you trust, but C.P's definitely lives up to that! Not only honest but goes the extra mile. I took my car in and found out I didn't really need brakes (a shop where I got tires told me I did) So if you want excellent service, go to C.P's!!!

The folks at The Volks Home are very helpful and very understanding of the issues we where having with our 07 Jetta. They take great pride in there work and communicate well with there customers. I've been taking my old Jeep to Leete for a few years now. I've found them to be fair with their pricing, informative, honest , and very reliable. The Jeep won't quit, and I drive it hard... this is a testament to quality work that's been done under the hood. Add to this the fact that when I put my vehicle in the shop in the morning, it's always been ready for me the same day! Call ahead to make an appointment. These guys are busy, and rightfully so.

The Best, hands down! Automotive Specialty is the only place I take my 1995 Mercedes C220. From general preventive maintenance, to work of more serious nature, they do it all, and they do an extraordinary job. They are worth the 10 miles I drive to take my car to them. They are driven to give friendly and caring customer service with honest assessments of whatever problem my car may have, fair prices, quality work and expert automotive knowledge. It is a real garage, not fancy-schmancy, and your car will get fixed right the first time, 99.9% of the time.

Great service by John at the store. A little delay out in the shop but John stayed on top of it. Very good pricing on the tires I bought. Really nice experience. Store could use a better parking area...very crowded for customers to get in move around the lot.

My van overheated yesterday and my insurance company, Erie, called Pit Road Towing. They sent Grant who was polite, helpful, concerned for our safety and simply a wonderful young man. He not only showed up faster than expected but he checked out the problem and fixed it right there on the side of the road. Then just to be sure we were safe to drive home he followed us down the road about a mile and checked it out again to reassure me that my van was safe to drive. It meant the world to me since my automotive knowledge ends at where you put the key and the gas. Thank you Pit Road Auto Repair for having such fine staff.

Stay away from here. Buyer beware. Shady AF POS here. Man misrepresents himself as private dealer on Craigslist. List purchase price for under what you pay for it on legal paperwork, will not work with you once money is in hand. Asked for refund and was told it was spent on "medical bills" and claims to have bad heart. I hope he actually is telling the truth about his heart and I hope it hurts - so he knows what every customer who was foolish enough to buy a car from his crooked establishment feels. Go anywhere else, you will regret this place. Freedy and Jack belong in a jail cell not a "dealership".

Gammon Transmission was recommended to me by a fellow coworker. called and made arrangements to have vehicle diagnosed. I had done my research and knew almost where the problem was and Andy Gammon was spot on. We agreed to a total rebuild with added extras to make tranny bullet proof. Mind you that this was a Chevy Silverado 2500 4WD. He did exactly what was asked and was very knowledgeable with upgrades, no hidden costs etc. After that I had a Chevy Tahoe that was giving me problems and had him repair that also. I tend to drive vehicles forever to at least 300k,and things wear out and break. Today's modern transmissions are complicated and you need a good shop like Gammon's to get you on your way! Also if you are fortunate to meet one of the original owners Mrs. Gammon, take time to thank her for being apart of the greatest generation

got myself a decent car being a used car there were a few minor issues which trey and his team were happy to help with not sure what fees the previous poster is talking about they do have a 1 time fee of 150$ which for me they waived and they do not finance so there is no kind of intrest. so me personaly I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good used car buying experience..

Went in asking for quote on replacing front struts. They said I would have to provide VIN to find parts. (I could find it online without it). Was able to quote $2000.00. My regular mechanic quoted $700.00 for the job. I tried them because my regular mechanic was unable to meet my timeline needed. When I questioned their quote they told me I may need all struts replaced. How are they able to know that when I ask for the front to be replaced. I had been a customer for years but had several bad experiences in the last few visits. Females beware! They try to make you get unnecessary repairs.

I WOULDN'T STEP FOOT ON THIS LOT AGAIN. FIRST OFF THEY ACCEPTED MY BID ON A CAR BY EMAIL AND WHEN I GOT THEIR AND I TEST DROVE THEY DOUBLED THE PRICE. I WOULD GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND NEVER GET CLOSE TO THESE GUYS!!!!
