Al has been fixing various issues with my wife's Audi for years. He's great at communicating what's going on, typically over estimates and charges less, and often fixes little things and refuses to let us pay him for it. Not many businesses like this around anymore.

I had immediate help when my car wouldn't start. We ran up against a weekend and a holiday. However, they got the work done in a reasonable timeframe and one of the things we really appreciated was their communication with us. They took time to talk with us, explain the situation and also returned calls. Hockett and Olsen went above and beyond to help us. They have managed to keep our very old cars running. We will continue to use their services in the future.

When it comes to service, quality and a timely manner I recommend Thurston county transmission hands down! It is nice to work with honest mechanics. Sky James

STAY AWAY – STAY AWAY – STAY AWAY – CUSTORMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. We purchased a used boat from Larson PowerBoats two month ago and had nothing but problems. It might be because we only spent $32,000. Here is a synopsis of our problems; 1. When we purchased the boat I specifically asked about any type of warranty on a used boat. I was told, “You are buying from Larson, don’t worry, we will take care of you.” We would regret taking them at their word. Saleswoman Crystal is an absolute joke, don’t even talk with her. 2. First time out we noticed the trim gauge and a toggle switch for the navigation lights weren’t working. No problem, this was easily overlooked. Asked if they would replace the gauge and switch, they agreed and we were happy. 3. After talking with Crystal she said to bring the boat in and they will get it fixed before the weekend so we could use the boat. We brought it in on Monday…on Friday I had to pick it up with no work done. (Two months later – THEY STILL HAVEN’T REPLACED THEM) 4. Once we got the boat back (again with nothing fixed) we discovered a number of things needing replacement; new trailer jack (couldn’t raise if off my truck), compartment hinges, etc. Nothing earth shattering, but concerning. 5. A week later I checked the pressure on the trailer tires and noticed a large gash in the sidewall of one tire and obvious wear in the others. After $600 out-of-pocket, we had new trailer tires. 6. Called Larson to see if they would help with any of my out-of-pocket costs which was now over $700, not counting the trim gauge and toggle switch. Saleswoman Crystal said she would check and call me right back. Since I hadn’t heard anything, I called back over 4 hours later and learned Crystal was now out on a boat test drive with a new customer. To date I have never received a call back from her. 7. These guys are great. They came highly recommended from a friend of mine who builds race cars, and after dealing with them I know why. They are honest, very informative, knowledgable and have good prices. I would recommend them to anyone rebuilding a classic car. Especially a 1954 Buick!

My car was just falling apart! With only 110,000 miles on it, I felt like it was just done. I took it to AIR and they looked it over really well. They gave me a long list and explained what needed to be done now and what should be done soon. Its back on the road and I'm saving up for the rest. I like the way they took the time to explain the maintenance and repair necessary It took some time to repair, but I like that they got it done right.

I had some radiator hoses replaced at another national repair shop. However, I began losing coolant and took the car back twice. The first time I was told that the reason was that there was an air bubble in the line. The second time I was told that the radiator leaked and a new one would cost just over $450. The car was not put on a lift to check for leaks. There was no pressure check. The evaluation was based on a few snail trails of dried coolant around the radiator cap. I took my car to Midas on Gravelly Lake Drive in Lakewood, WA for a second opinion. The car was placed on a lift twice. They did a pressure check and told me that if there was, in fact, a leak the pressure check would identify the location. Eric came into the waiting room, and I expected him to confirm the need to replace the radiator. He said he would be happy to replace it, but thought that a new radiator cap would resolve my problem. I bought a $10 radiator cap and haven't lost a drop of coolant in the three weeks since I visited Midas. What a pleasant experience dealing with an honest repair shop. You can be assured that my future automotive needs will be taken to this Midas dealer.

We have bought 5 vehicles there and service them regularly. We just did the 115k maintenance at our Acura MDX and not only they saved us a lot they went above and beyond by picking up the car and then dropping it off at our place:-) They Rock ! Great job they did for us. Jefferson's Family :-)

This shop is very clean and professional. They took the time to answer all my questions and even took the time to show me all the bad parts in my transmission. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a honest repair shop.

they are letting a man work for them, Tony , that has no licence and i have seen drive customer vehicles home intoxicatedc , he also is not a certified mechanic . cunsumers beware

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. While I was on the lot looking at a car I found a bent bumper in the trunk. I asked the salesman if it was from this car and if the car had ever been in an accident. He told me no, that the bumper was thrown in there from the auction they bought the car from. I just got an autocheck report and saw that the auction they got my car from had disclosed and reported frame damage. Cars R Us knew about the damage and not only lied to me about the wreck but did not repair the frame damage. They put a new bumper (without the cushion), and hood on to make it pretty but did not fix the frame. So they intentionally kept crucial SAFETY info from me. AND CHARGED ME FULL RETAIL PRICE for a car that was not even worth half of that. I will be getting my 17k back from them even if I have to get a lawyer.
