Everyone I talked to was very personable. I was shocked at the price I paid for a Towmax STR trailer tire. I recognize I was called and quoted a price. Shame on me for not differentiating between the Vanguard and the STR.

My slow week wasn’t fixed, tire had low air pressure again the day after appointment.

In all the years I have been coming to Northside Auto, there has never been any surprises. Ryan and John are always upfront with current issues as well as things that I should be looking to take care of in the future. Bottom line, I trust what they have to tell me regarding my vehicles. Great job.

On 6/21/12, we purchased a used Cadillac STS from Brad Hayes, the owner of Hayes Family Auto in Watertown, WI. My husband drove the car to work the next day and it overheated. He had to drive home 50 miles in 90 degree heat with the heater blowing full-blast. We took the car back to Hayes and told Brad that if it was the head gasket, to repair it correctly (i.e. drill, tap, put studs in), which Brad agreed to do. Brad supplied a loaner minivan to use while the vehicle was being repaired. My husband's suspicions were confirmed; it was a problem with the head gasket. After a month of delays, excuses, vacations, and an inexperienced mechanic in this area of repair, Brad finally agreed to take the car to our family mechanic to have it reviewed. After 30 minutes, our mechanic determined that the minimal repair was completed by Brad's mechanic and that within four months the head gasket issue would reoccur. Our mechanic's suggestion was to return the car. My husband called Brad and after explaining the situation, Brad agreed to a full refund. On 7/24/12, after over one month of delays, aggravation, empty promises, and lies, Brad left the refund check with an employee instead of apologizing in person. We viewed this as extremely cowardly and poor business. We would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone. Buyer Beware!!!

Bought a car from them told me engine was in great shape found leaking valves and a dead piston. also found that my gas tank was held on only by plumber strap. 'VERY DANGEROUS' also found the radiator was installed wrong and was smashed at the top and many other things. this was my first classic car and i am very disappointed that someone would take advantage of me. also claimed low miles and found it has a tempest dash wrong pulleys wrong intake gasket on motor hidden rust under the car rear end doesnt work properly.....the list goes on.They would not let me take to mechanic to be checked. i should of ran at that point very expensive lesson learned.

Highly recommended. They fixed a major oil leak on my Mercedes-Benz for next to nothing. Incredibly fair prices and helpful, friendly customer service. I will definitely get service from Bernie's again.
