Auto repair service near Lake Butler, FL

I'm actually another repair facility, so obviously I KNOW how repair facilities work and have been doing this for 20 years. I recently did business with this repair facility. One of MY customers was passing through Jacksonville when her engine started making noise. She went into this shop to find out what was going on with her vehicle. She was told it needed an engine. She then called me to assist her with her vehicle. I spoke to the owner, Tim, who told me the engine has low end banging noise. I asked if he would pull codes for me which he did. he indicated there were no stored codes. I expected to pay a fee but $110.00 is extremely excessive. Given the same circumstances my shop would have charged 35.00, (maybe), probably would not have charged anything. So let's break this down, I was charged $45.00 for Tim listening, yes listening and another $65.00 for pulling codes. Now everyone who reads this, check your local papers. You will find that EVERY shop charges $0.00 to pull codes and I've never heard of anyone charging for listening. I have to say Tim, I truly feel you took advantage of me. I'm not just a customer off the street, I KNOW what you have to do. I KNOW what goes on within repair facilities. I hope everyone reading this sees this as the rip-off it really is. DONT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. I WENT IN FOR A COOLANT DUMP. THEY SAID MAYBE THE WATER PUMP THEY PUT ON 3 MONTHS AGO. AFTER 7 HRS BERNIE Calls to let me know they replaced placed the water pump and now they think its the thermostat which isn't under the water pump which they replaced 3 months ago by Ray's. AFTER 2 DAYS I SHOW TO TAKE MY VAN FROM THEM, ONLY TO HEAR ITS ALMOST DONE. I GET MY VAN BACK AND THE TEMP GAUGE SHOWS WAY INTO HOT, I ASKED WHY IS THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE SHOWING OFF THE CHART, THE RESPONSE WAS ( HOW CAN I SAY IT WAS WORKING WHEN I BROUGHT THE VAN IN). NOW IM TOLD BY THE FATHER OF THE FATHER AND SON TEAM AND I QUOTE (YOUR A SPUTID MOTHER FUCKER WHEN IT COMES TO MECH AND FOR ME TO LEAVE THE FUCKING PREMISES YOU MOTHER FUCKING ASSHOLE.) I ASK HIM WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT ME AND HE TOLD ME TO GO FUCK MYSELF. 288.00 IS THE CHARGE BERNIE SAID I OWE FOR A BAD REPAIR. NOW MY TEMPERATURE GAUGE IS ALWAYS IN THE PASS HOT WHICH IS THE H FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW. MY OIL STICK HOLDER WAS BROKEN AND THE FRESH AIR HOSE WAS NOT CONNECTED AND MY TRANSMISSION CHECK STICK WAS HANGING OUT. WHEN I SHOWED THE FATHER THIS MESS HE SCREAMED AT ME THAT THE LAST PEOPLE WHO REPAIRED BROKE IT, THATS WHEN I TOLD HIM YOU WORKED ON THIS LAST AND HE REPLIED, NO BEFORE US. MAKING SENSE YET??? I WILL KEEP YOU ALL UPDATED ON THE SMALL CLAIMS LAW SUIT.

I had my car towed to Advance Auto because the starter died. They checked out the car and called me with a very reasonable price quote. When I picked my car up several hours later, the owner gave me the total, which was less than 1/2 the quoted price - he had checked out the starter, found that it had a short in it and repaired it for me,saving me the cost of the new part!! Additionally, they washed and vacuumed the car and scrubbed my ridiculously filthy wheels. They are cleaner than they've been since they were new! This is the most honest and honorable auto repair establishment that I have EVER had the good fortune to deal with.

We were evacuating from Hurricane Irma and our alternator went out. We had our truck towed to Computa Tune for repair. We had all of our dogs with us and we were trying to make it to my sister's house in Georgia. Thank God we chose this shop for the repair. They fixed our truck and the price was unbelievably low. My wife went here to get an oil change, and they offered to rotate our tires. When I get home and check the car, the tire air-pressure warning was on. Earlier that day, the warning light was not on. The PSI prior to that visit was ~33, after that visit it mysteriously dropped to less than 20 PSI! Nice scheme they have there, let the air out so they blow on the highway and we have to buy new ones. Someone could have gotten hurt or died. Don't ever go to this location, staff is inexperienced and sabotaged our tires. They couldn't even figure out how to reset the maintenance timer on our car. If you've gone here recently, be sure to check your car out!
