I have been using Chris to maintain my BMW for the past couple of years, and he has been nothing short of a blessing to me. Sometimes I feel like he cares more about my car than I do. I am not in favor of going to the dealership, I feel as though I am overcharged for subpar service there. Id much rather have a personal touch any day. Outside of saving me money on regular maintenance items he was also able to resolve a long standing problem that the dealership wasn't able to properly diagnose. I'm pretty sure the dealership guys didn't lose any sleep when I said I cant afford anymore diagnosis without a solution, but Chris didn't give up until he resolved my issue. So, in my book he gets a grade A..I don't pay for customer service, I pay for honesty and reliable car repair...if I want a smile and a cup of coffee I will gladly go to Starbucks! If I want my BMW fixed right I will go to Bavarian Automotive!

We brought in a used vehicle we had just purchased because the gears were not shifting smooth and there was a troubling vibration at low speeds. Chris is the best. My wife was stuck in Orlando while moving our son to school there from Destin. Truck was loaded with stuff and it wouldn't crank. Called Chris and he assured me he would handle it and treat us right. I work on a ship and was in port up north so he was in contact over the phone. He stored the truck overnight in the shop to keep our stuff from getting wet due to thunderstorms. He assessed the issue in the morning and found nothing wrong. Truck ran fine for a day. Next day it happened again. Brought it in again at no charge per Chris and still couldn't find an issue. Truck runs fine now. Must have been a particle lodged in the system I assume. Chris was courteous, honest and only charged us for one hour labor plus the usual tax. I would recommend his shop to anyone. He even called the next day to see that my wife made it home. What shop does that anymore? Thank you Chris!

DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE LGBT+. This mechanic has amazing reviews on google and I have used them in the past with great results. But now that I am using them as a trans woman I can see the way they treat the LGBT+ community. I went for an oil change and got the car back with the splash guard dragging on the ground. They said they’d fix and convinced me to use them for tires and a new rear mirror also. When got it back from that two weeks later. The splash guard had been just removed without replacement and the front splash guard was now dragging. I was charged hundreds more for the tires than quoted and they won’t give me an invoice just a generic receipt. The rear mirror was never touched and was never told for two weeks while they had the car that they couldn’t get the mirror for my car. So over a month I barely had a car, spent over $3,000 and now I am missing a splash guard and the other is broken. Rear mirror is still broken. Only positive is an oil change and nice tires that where probably way over priced. Used this mechanic for 2 cars over 3 years and they have been amazing and the reviews everywhere are amazing. But then I walked in the door at a trans woman and that all changed.

I recently bought a car for my son. When he test drove it, everything was fine and ran well. Within 20 minutes of driving the car home, the brakes started squeaking and making noise. There is an oil leak. The automatic doors/locks don't work. They advertised the car came with an alarm. There is none! I was never told there was an oil leak and the the brakes will need to be changed. My son was driving to school this morning and the car turned off on him, in the middle of the road!

Kaan the owner is dishonest, rude, and has no business acumen whatsoever. He owes me around $200.00 for work done to my scooter that did not repair it. And when I voiced my displeasure at his having had my scooter for a week, then giving it back to me still not fixed, he exploded, and accused me of insulting his business. This just after I had come back from KC from my mother’s funeral. He had me pay for the work first, then when it was discovered that it did not fix the scooter, he kept the money, and, after his business could not find the part they said it needed, I was told to find the part, and bring it in to have it installed, but they were keeping my money. Do business with this outfit at your own risk!

This has got to be one of the worst auto shops of any kind. I went in to have my Jeep axles re-geared. They quoted me $1,238, which was the lowest price I found. But when I went to pick it up, they told me I owed over $1,800. There was no extra work, no unforeseen problems, no complications with the Jeep. They simply claimed they never quoted me $1,238 and had no idea where that figure came from (of course, they had zero notes from the phone call or a written price estimate anywhere). I reluctantly paid their price because I had no choice. I was told that to get their 1-year/12,000 mile warranty on the work, I'd have to return and have the gear fluid changed after 500 miles. I did so, only to find out this cost another $153. How clever... they only honor their work with a warranty if you pay for it. This "mandatory" follow-up service is included in the price at every other shop in town. So after being bait-and-switch overcharged for the service, then getting squeezed for another $153, the total price was just under $2,000 - which was equal to the highest estimate I got anywhere. Had they been honest about their prices, I would have never visited this shop. I would STRONGLY recommend avoiding this shop at all cost. To make things worse, they were also supposed to install a pair of c-gussets on my front axle (small metal bracing to strengthen the C bends for oversized wheels). I asked specifically if they could install this while doing the axle work. He put me on hold for 10 minutes to talk to his technician about it before confirming that it would not be a problem. When I dropped the vehicle off, they again confirmed the c-gussets would be installed. I called the shop 48 hours later, just to be sure they found the c-gusset kit and instructions. AGAIN, they confirmed they had and it would be done. When I picked up the Jeep, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. "C-gussets? Who told you we'd install those?" This place is literally the twilight zone. They quote prices then pretend they never said it. They offer to perform services, confirm, then re-confirm, but act as if you never mentioned it 2 days later. If you do business here, you deserve what you get. The fact that they are still in business is baffling. They're disorganized, unreliable, and essentially deceptive. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

3-29-2024 I took my 2000 ford Taurus up there and left it for some electrical issues and an ac diagnosis. I left my car there at 9:30 am on Thursday and they did not call me or start work on my car until 1:00pm on Friday. I went up there to get my car since they said on the phone you can come up and get it and I my needed car. The service manager did not even come up and talk with me as to why he didn't even get anything done at his auto place. The manager Will said he had to keep pulling techs off of my vehicle due to other vehicles needed fixed, not really a customer issue. not sure how they have any good reviews must be payed for. They have a appointment tab on their website I used it still did not matter. not sure how they are still in business I would not take my car there again or recommend them at all. I don't see this shop staying in business much longer with the scheduling issues

I went to Midas on 05/14/2014 to change my brake pads. While there, the repair man told me that my rotors were ruined. I said that they were not and that I wanted them to put my tire back on so that I could get a second opinion. The repair man (who is much bigger than me and who was very aggressive) said no, and that if I don't let them do the work he would make sure to charge me a lot of money for the "diagnostic." I relented, but insisted that I keep my old rotors. I called Midas Corporate immediately after and they sent me to a store in the area that they trusted for second opinions and diagnostics. This store (also a Midas - S. Orange Blossom Trail.) told me that my rotors were fine and in NO WAY needed to be replaced, in fact, the mechanic said that I could probably use them for another 2-3 years before ever having a problem. On top of that, they put the new rotors, and my old tires on incorrectly, pushing my wheels out of alignment and making it so that my traction control could not engage and the mechanic in the new store said that they charged me an extra $50 PER ROTOR and $17 PER BRAKE PAD than what Midas expects. Thank god it did not rain, or I could have been in serious trouble. I have spoken with the store manager, who lies and says he is the owner, multiple times, and eventually got to the owner himself and they refuse to give me a refund, or even acknowledge that there is a problem. Midas cannot force them to give me one since the shop on Alafaya is a franchise (they did fix my tire problem for free, and do all further diagnostics for free, the only one acting unethically is the Midas on Alafaya.) I was forced into buying rotors I did not need through intimidation and erroneous payment threats. Midas caused multiple unrelated brake problems while my car was in their care (the aforementioned unallignment and disengagement of traction control.) They also over charged me for equipment, and labor by much more than the prices set by Midas (as indicated by the mechanic at the second shop.) They are fully aware of the problem and refuse to make it right. They will continue to do this to young girls whom they know do not have the knowledge or confidence to stand up to them. They are scamming people. I will never get my money back, but I AT LEAST want to keep people from going there.

*INSPECT YOU VEHICLE BEFORE LEAVING AND EDUCATE YOURSELF ON THE SERVICE YOU NEED, THEY MAY TRY TO CUT CORNERS* I brought my sons' car in for a four wheel alignment and they did not adjust camber or caster into specification. Jaime the Service Representative told me the numbers were within specification and after I presented him with the factory specifications which were from 1 to 2 degrees out of specification, he had the technician talk to me and the technician made other excuses, like the car was lowered and there was no more available adjustment. Since I already knew the car was at factory ride height and I could see there was plenty of adjustment left in the cams (two of which had no marks and the serrations were illegible with dirt) I decided to take the car to Irish Mikes at the first available opportunity (I did not drive the car during this period) and they were able to set all of the specifications Camber; caster; and toe; both front and rear to factory specifications with no issues, In addition to this, when I got the vehicle home ( I drove straight home with no stops less than 5 miles) I noted major damage to the passenger side door and immediately called Action Gator (elapsed time between signing the credit card form, discussing why the alignment was not to factory specifications and calling the shop was 18 minutes) and then I brought the vehicle back to them to see. Note: When I initially picked up the vehicle they had it parked illegally in a NO PARKING ZONE (which is more than likely where the damage occurred). After several conversations with Jim Dardini, Action Gator refused to accept any liability for the damage since the vehicle left the premises before it was reported. Throughout the whole ordeal the staff was not cooperative and defensive, they made me feel like I was the bad guy. Action Gator did end up refunding my payment for the alignment, but would not apologize or admit they did it wrong, I do have the alignment printout to show they released the car out of specifications and the one from Irish Mikes showing that there were no issues with the car preventing a proper alignment and showing the car aligned to factory specifications. IF YOU NEED SERVICE ON YOUR CAR I RECOMMEND IRISH MIKES ON FORSYTH, they are honest and have integrity. IF YOU NEED TIRES GO TO DISCOUNT TIRE NEXT DOOR, they also are honest and have integrity. TAKE AWAY FROM THIS EXPERIENCE, ALWAYS INSPECT YOUR VEHICLE PRIOR TO AND AFTER MAINTENANCE BEFORE ACCEPTING IT AND SIGNING THE INVOICE AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

Today is November 4, 2023 and I am reviewing a business for the first time since moving to Orlando almost 4 years ago. I originally went to Affordable alignment at the recommendation of a neighbor that works there and had a specialist with German vehicles which was perfect for my old Audi convertible, the mechanic specializes in German vehicles is a fellow by the name of Mike and I cannot say enough good things about him. His knowledge and dedication is legendary. That is the good news, now, for possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had with an automotive shop. A little background, I drive a 2020 Yukon and use it as a black car service and today I drove to Port Canaveral from Orlando and my air conditioning stopped working on the way back from that trip. I drove directly to Affordable alignment, because in the past, they have typically Fit me in and done work for me immediately. Today was no different. One of the mechanics referred an AC specialist in the shop to me and he immediately diagnosed the vehicle since he could hear that the blower motor seem to be working properly. he immediately stated that it was either a very dirty filter, or the actuator was not diverting the air to the proper vents. That led him to removing the filter behind the glove box, and discovering that it was one of the dirtiest filters he’s ever seen and was so blocked up that when he removed it, the air conditioning began to work fine. With a smile on his face he said will order a filter for you. It will be here in a few minutes and I will install it and you’ll be on the road. As you can imagine this is about the best news you can hear when you’ve suddenly discovered your air-conditioning is no longer working. It could be many many things all of them potentially quite expensive. This is about the cheapest fix anyone could hope for. I thought to myself even if they charge me a one hour minimum for a 5 minute diagnosis of $100 for labor and $34 for the part plus tax I’m looking at $150 worst case. After 45 minutes from my initial arrival, I went to the office and was presented a bill for $292, I paid it without question and stated on my way out the door that I felt I was being gouged, and I think made it clear that this was the last time I would put myself in that position with this particular business. Instead of saying something along the lines of I’m sorry you feel that way or is there anything we can do to go through this and make you more comfortable? Instead, I was insulted by the cashier, and was told I wasn’t gouged at all that they have to charge for labor and diagnostics, I was made to feel as if this was my first trip to the Mechanic And keep in mind earlier. I explained that I had witnessed the diagnosis it took 5 minutes and that’s being generous. I have noticed over the last year that this place is exclusively focused on money and profits and doesn’t really any longer focus on doing quality work for a reasonable price , I suspect a new generation has taken over and all they focus on is the Almighty dollar. If you’re one of those people like me who does not have money to burn, stay away. If I’m the other hand, you have more money than you know what to do with I must admit, they still do as quality work as they’ve ever done . This is just the last time they will do any work for me.
