If you need anything with your car go to them!! I hrdyoplanned in a field yesterday morning (first "wreck" I ever been in) I called them and they said I can bring it to them after work. I got there 10 till close they still looked at my car and "fixed" it there was dirt on the back side of my rim causing it to be unbalanced and shake. They stayed late, another 30 minutes to get it all cleaned up and make sure nothing else was wrong with my car. The nicest people I have ever met!! I will go back to them for everything for now on!!! They honestly care about there customers and do everything they can to make your experience the best!!! Kayla Watters

I've had my truck for 25 years and I'm very particular about the people I let work on it. The staff and the technicians were friendly and professional. They kept me advised of the work and pricing everyday. I couldn't be happier with the services they performed and I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

BE CAREFUL...BE WARNED. I purchased a car from the dealership on a Tuesday and by Friday the bandage had fallen off and the vehicled true colors started showing. After spending thousands on a car, two days later i was then paying to get a diagnostic test to be there are many technical and electrical issues with car. Of course i called the dealer back and two day of the purchased this car KRISTI DUPLANTIS AT THE HOLLYWOOD IN HOUMA LOCATION basically told me good on getting my repairs. It has been a week of hell. Thousands of my dollars gone. And a car im afraid to drive due to the issues that Kristi and K & N Wholesale failed to mention, made to attempt to resolve, and have left me to deal with. NO VERY GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE I SAY.

I don't doubt the mechanic. He answered all questions honestly and competently. I was shopping around and asked another shop specializing in German cars and he gave me the book hours. This was reasonably within limit of what the mechanic of German Auto stated. But when it was time for the bill, I find that the man hour billed was on the very high extreme of what the book hour stated. And when I asked him about this "pipe rerouting" that the mechanic told me was just lifting a series of pipe higher because it was scraping the concrete, he said he had "forgotten" that the mechanic had reduced the hour needed. Really? from 1.6 hrs to 1.0 hr to lift a few tubes a few inches higher? This is also not "rerouting" as he told me over the phone. The owner after I caught this, quickly told his secretary that he was going to take an early lunch. I can tell you that this is the LAST time anyone I know will be bringing a car to this shop. Its not because of the mechanic. He was actually the reason why I was fine w/ leaving my car there initially. The owner is untrustworthy, and if my car wasn't already worked when I started dealing w/ this owner, I would've switched shop immediately.

Always said I wanted to write a review when I'm satisfied.. This shop was the best price and easiest to work with. They told me how much and how long and it cost and took the amount of time they said. Never rude always very nice. Been coming here for 12yrs and always have been up front with me. Wanted to say thanks to Welch and Son Automotive!!

Jimmy is the owner, his father was Jerry since has passed..Has been in VW repair business for over 40 years....He was a pleasure to deal with, and an expert mechanic on vintage VW's! Honest, and trustworthy...Replaced shorted harness, headlamp switch, fuse buss bar, with OEM Volkswagon parts! In addition, replaced a leaking gasket exhaust gasket...Job took about a day to complete, and final price was very reasonable. Jimmy is a good guy!
