Re-Sold Car I Bought To Someone Else! I bought a car over the phone on Saturday morning because I live 30 miles away and I'd been to the dealership twice already. The salesman told me we had 'locked it down' and the car was mine and asked that I wait until Monday to pick it up so he could get the commission because he would be off work. I agreed to this and Monday morning came and I received a phone call from another salesman telling me they sold my car to someone else and I'm just out of luck. What a horrible experience from start to finish. I made 2 prior offers on this car at the dealership and both times I was walked out the door without even getting a counter offer. A few weeks later the car price was lowered on autotrader to only $500 more than my original offer. So I emailed them through autotrader reiterating my offer. A sales person called me and we closed the deal over the phone. For whatever reason their manager decided they don't want to sell the car for that much or to me and cancelled the order with me. I do not believe they really sold it because the car is still listed on autotrader for sale! This was a gift for my pregnant wife who is now very stressed out and upset for no reason. Buying a car is supposed to be a great experience and a happy time. These guys jerked me around then jerked the sale out from under me. Unacceptable guys, there is no excuse for this.

They topped off my anti freeze with the green stuff instead of the orange stuff.

I have never been so insulted by a company. The man who handled my application and phone conversation was very rude and condescending. Here we are talking about my finances and as I explained to him that my bankruptcy was because of a business I closed due to the economy…he explained that “ he knows about business, he has been in business for 22 years….(WHAT selling cars?! WTF cares…I mean real bu siness)”. All excuses aside, I have a bankruptcy open. When he asked me about a down payment, I explained that if I had the cash …I wouldn’t try financing a car; I would go to craigslist and outright purchase a car and cut out the middleman prices. BOY he hit the roof….”well if you don’t trust us and would rather buy from a person…DO you buy furniture from individuals, or fruit he asks.” Fruit…really? No, I buy my fruit from a grocery store, and I purchased my furniture new, this is a used car… The man proceeded to tell me that “maybe that is why my business failed--- (why? Because of my reservations of salesmen?)…Really…I asked, “Why would you want to say that….” THIS man is EXACTLY why consumers would much rather go to the dentist, rather than buy a new car from a salesman. Rock on buddy….keep the reputation of car salesmen alive – of sneaky, greasy, greedy little salesmen-with your negative, condescending, ignorant attitude and your ill-chosen remarks. This salesman, owner, manager….WHOEVER…had no right to speak to me the way he did. He had no right to place judgment on neither my lifestyle nor my financial situations. He especially had no right to tell me why my business failed. He is a peon selling cars….I am an educated, well respected woman, and I will list my review of this poor dealership experience on EVERY local car review I can find. No consumer should be treated like I was by this idiot. And now I have a goal to let every consumer know exactly what a piece of …work this dealership represents. I had a great experience with Altox automotive as my 2004 BMW 525i car had some problem with headlight & seat etc and they fixed everything without any hassle. The two main people Roman and Justin were very friendly and gave a reasonable answer to any question with regard to the repair and tried to reduce the repair cost as much as possible. I would highly recommend to others to go and try Altox Automotive once and you will become their regular customer.

I agree with Gene. In my case I drive a diesel Sprinter, very hard to get good service on to begin with because it is all German. I live in Montana too. I was referred to Westport Autohouse by a friend whose personal experience was very similar to the other review. So I called and made an appointment. The owner - Mike- insisted that because he had to order parts I should plan on leaving it overnight. I told him - Ok but- I had to be finished by 4 PM on Thursday since i had to be in another part of the state for business on Friday. The initial estimate was fine and was accurate to what needed to be done according to my research on the problems and the symptoms. The final bill came in a bit higher but they had completed all the repairs, the van drove smoothly and perfectly for the first time in months !! I am elated. I had been in a Mercedes Benz dealership earlier to get the same things done and they wanted over $2,000 more and most of that was for the wrong stuff anyway. I highly recommend Westport Autohouse and plan to use them every time I need a repair in the future. Tim B.

Amazing customer service! I was given a breakdown of services I would need ..they even offered discounts. They were really honest and answered all of my questions. Also given their opinion on which services I should prioritize since I wasn't able to pay for all of the services that day. 100000% would recommend to everyone. Best place to bring your car, I have a $90,000 BMW and trust these guy 100%. I walk in I get treated with respect, everything is very well explained and they are very cautious with my car....love this place!! They have one of the best welder s I have seen...flawless welds!!

I stopped at Sal's one day to ask for directions, and after he helped me figure out my way, he noticed an indent on the side of my one of my car's front panels. He asked if I would wait just a minute. He came back with his tools, asked if I would like him to fix it, and proceeded to work a huge improvement on getting the dent out. He wouldn't accept any payment and sent me on my way with a smile. I definitely plan on using him when I need a mechanic next.

I just bought my Lexus there and it has been great. I never thought I'd get financed but sure enough. I love my car and just referred my friend and picked up my bonus for sending him down. I ate and filled up my tank. WooWoo!!!

I have been going here for nearly 10 years now. Mike has always been honest, up front and fair. He lets me know what needs to be done right away, what doesn't need to be done now but will need to be done eventually, and what doesn't need to be done but that I might consider. He knows my financial situation and bases his suggestions around that. I can't recommend him strongly enough. Even though I no longer live in the Tower Grove area, I've kept him as my primary mechanic for nearly all my car needs.

I came in with a huge radiator failure and John and the guys here definitely gave me the best service and deal on the rates. They're going to be my permanent auto shop home for a while!!

Great people at this shop. They brought my MGA back from the dead, and stayed within my budget. They had lots of neat cars in the shop for service and restoration from the major and minor British makers (they had an Alvis car in for restoration during my MGAs surgery.) I called to get an appointment for the paint on my Cadillac SRX to get fixed. The lady I spoke to was extremely rude and said she wouldn’t make me an appointment because, “It would cost more than my vehicle was worth”. I was nearly speechless. I definitely would Not recommend.

These guys advertised a front bumper on their website for a Mercedes which they didn't have. They took the payment of $887.86 and have not supplied the part or returned the money. I would advise not to deal with them and find another supplier.

ALEX is a big lire and thief back in DEC 2012 i told Alex to by me a car and ship it overseas to my home country after i found the car and payed him he said the car will arrive in 30 days after that the car didn't show up i called the original owner and said Alex didn't pay me anything. when i told Alex he said no i will buy you another car ....etc the same lie i payed him $36.000.00

Buyer stay away for new cars and trucks. The new truck we bought looked like it was ready for a good cleaning when it came back from the detail shop. The sales lady need to learn that a charge card cuts off at 100 dollars when filling up a truck. That means we didnt get a full tank of fuel like ford says you should. The owner didnt care so the best thing I can say it buy from any other dealer.
