Ardmore Nissan

I will never take my car to be serviced here again. I usually go to the Nissan on Ridge Pike but decided to go to Ardmore since it is closer to my job and they provide a shuttle service. The shuttle is the only good thing about the service department. And is not worth sacrificing the condition of my Car. I brought my car in initially because the check engine light came on. A few days later the issue was supposedly fixed after replacing a part covered under warranty. An unrelated visit took me back to get a tire replaced. This issue was fixed also. Now, comes the problem: Immediately after getting the tire replaced my air pressure light came on along with the check engine light. I called and they could not see my car for about 4-5 days. During these days I was forced to put air in a brand new tire daily. I finally had an appt and left the car with them all day. Upon picking the car up I have a bill for $160 dollars. They said it was $98 to diagnose the check engine light which read that I had low oil. They did the oil change for about $35 I guess and chared me $15 to check the pressure sensor. They said Nothing was wrong with the pressure and since I just needed a oil change you have to pay for the diagnosis. WHAT?? Being a woman I thought it was just me. Fist off if it was just an oil problem my OIL LIGHT would have come on as it usually does to tell me to check my oil. And I know there is a problem with the tire because it looses pressure daily. Not to mention they charged me $15 to check a tire THEY just replaced themselves. A day after paying for them to basically give me an oil change both lights came back on and the pressure was dangerously low again . I brought it back and they tried to tell me they were going to charge me another $98 and $15 to diagnose the same problems. After speaking with the SM I let them know I would not be paying them any more money. They checked the lights and actually looked at the tire to find I needed a similar part to the initial

Brought car in for annual state inspection and whatever else it might need, including an oil and filter change. That turned out to also include replacing the spark plugs and also flushing the power steering fluid, all items that used to be simple but now add up to $700 on my little 335xi. Oh well, with a long inline 6 hiding the two rear cylinders changing the plugs (necessary every 45k miles) is no picnic I'm sure. It's the price of admission for driving these things. I must add though that keeping up with this stuff is absolutely necessary to keep a Bimmer running like, well, a Bimmer. I swear the car feels like it has 50 more HP; it zings up the tach with what is clearly less effort than before and climbs hills with less pedal position, all because of new plugs and an oil change! Or perhaps it's because Steve Snow sprinkles some of that Bimmerworks magic on the car just for taking it there. Whatever, the car runs great and I know I'm taking it to BMW experts without financing some fancy dealership's latest addition. If you drive a Bimmer, and live within 35 miles of this place, you should seriously consider taking it here for service. -Len Dube

Hodgsons really is a gem in West Chester. My husband and I have been using them since we moved to the area this year, and we will continue to use them as long as we are around. I find that their prices are always better than the competition. The service in unparalleled. I always feel like I am being given an honest evaluation of my vehicle and not being pressured into any unnecessary fixes. I am always told which repairs can afford to be left for a while and what requires immediate attention. You will not be jerked around as a customer, and they are very accommodating with schedules.

Crossroads Auto Sales

My husband and I were very interested in a Jeep Patriot this dealer was selling. The only thing was it needed some major repairs, but no one so far could figure out the problem. They did offer to lower the price and sell the car without a warranty because of this. We drove up on a Saturday (a little over an hour drive from where we are located), and the finance person wasn't even in. So we spoke with Brandon and his wife about some more details and they said to call us first thing on Monday about our decision and that they would hold it until then. We called an hour before they opened on Monday and left a voicemail to let them know we were coming up to purchase the car that day. (We both took off from work and everything!) A few hours later, Brandon returned our call to let us know that would be ok. On our way up we called again to find out a fax number so we could provide proof of insurance and spoke to Brandon. After my husband hung up, a few minutes later we received a call from Brandon letting us know that "Oh, his wife sold the Jeep this morning and that she must've forgotten to check the voicemails." First off, reputable businesses check their voicemail. Secondly, it was a lie that they didn't get our voicemail because Brandon called back to confirm after we left it. LIES. Anyway, we were already on our way there so we decided to still go to Crossroads to see if the Jeep was still really there or not. When we got there, there was the Jeep! (I bet it was just pulled aside to make it look like it was sold!) Also, Brandon was nowhere to be found. What kind of owner leaves a business unattended? Obviously one that does not care very much. The only person at Crossroads was the mechanic who we spoke with and told them what happened. He called Brandon for us to double check that the Jeep was sold and Brandon confirmed it was. Then I asked the mechanic if Brandon's wife had been at the dealership today. He said NO. Brandon told us his wife sold the ca
