I have been taking my cars and trucks to Larry Miller's shop for over 30 years. He is very talented and gives the best work for the lowest price anywhere Ive seen. I give him my highest recommendation as he has treated me fairly every time over all these years. He has built hot rods for me, worked on my trucks and on the cars for my kids and wife. If there ever was a shop like the one in Mayberry RFD this is it!!!!

WARNING: DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM EAST SIDE AUTO SALES IN GETTYSBURG, PA. I had multiple problems with them, am returning my car along with complaints to the Better Business Bureau, PA Lemon Law & PA State Attorney General's office. I am $130 behind in payments (2 weeks), called them and told them I was mailing in a payment today & would be out Friday & they told me because I threatened to call the state police, I had to have payment in full out today or they were coming to repo the car. I didn't threaten to call the police, I did call the police.

I forgot to say in post just a second ago, the no bus means-no communication on the PCM-which could range from bad connection, to cluster needing replaced, to PCM needing replaced. Reason i fugured someone tried to figure out was because of all the missing screws to dash. Internet says probably cluster when u have issues like this car has (NO BUS-No speedometer, No Tach, No Temp Gauge, No CD Player, ect...Just thought i throw that out there.

I am an outraged customer who took my car to Franklins to get my battery replaced. Not only was the wrong battery installed, but it was also mounted incorrectly despite obvious signs of this problem. The plastic clip on top would not even latch to close. When I got home and lifted the hood, LOOSE PARTS WERE SITTING BESIDE THE BATTERY, and the corrosion on the terminals was not cleaned. To top off this wonderful experience, the replacement inspection stickers that were placed on my car were incorrect, and I really enjoyed cleaning grease from the inside of my car. I was assured that these mistakes were not reflective of Franklin’s reputation. I admit – I may not know much about cars, but I do know that I do NOT trust Franklins with my vehicle and will not be a returning customer.

In Summer 2018 I purchased a 2006 Ford Taurus because the place was highly recommended by a family member. The car was a little more expensive than I was looking for, but I was willing to pay more because they assured me that they had inspected it THAT WEEK. Higher price in exchange for no issues seemed like a fair deal to me. On cars this old, they will not supply any kind of warranty. Again, because I had been promised that it had just been inspected, I accepted this. Less than a month later, my car wouldn't start and was burning through oil and gas. Needs a new Mass Airflow Sensor. It was expensive to replace, and I wasn't happy about it. I called in and they told me that since I bought it without a warranty, it was my problem. I also noticed that the windshield wipers jumped and clearly had not been replaced anytime recently, and as soon as I drove off the lot, one of the back windows stopped opening. A few weeks after that, my exhaust system completely fell off. The catalytic converter needed replaced. I had to get my car towed. I called and complained and they said that they sell these without warranties because they "don't know what the driver will do" and "don't have a crystal ball" (essentially blaming me for a mechanical failure that almost certainly formed prior to my owning the car). Five days after replacing that, the check engine light came on, the car was shaking when idling, and it could barely accelerate. Turns out the last person who owned it replaced the ignition wire improperly and never removed the old one, causing the new one to be misplaced and melt. This certainly should have been seen during an inspection. I don't know anything about cars and once I looked into the engine myself I could tell that there wasn't supposed to be a cut wire just hanging out in there. Went to a new mechanic, got that fixed. Six days after that repair, my check engine light is on again. For anyone keeping track, that is: two major repairs, one minor repair, one worn out part, one mysteriously not working part, and an extra check engine light. I am not convinced they inspected the car at all, let alone as thoroughly as they claimed. And their salespeople (they don't have a customer service department as far as I can tell, because I just keep being transferred to sales) don't care. They got their sale, customer happiness and safety be darned.

Great place Jim and Jody hooked us up on a friday while driving to a campground and our check engine light came on. Did a google search and found them. It was a o2 sensor that came up on the computer. Got replaced in a half and hour and we were on our way. 9 months later still no light and the truck gets better gas mileage. We price checked with the dealership and it was half the price than what they wanted. This garage is mechanicsburg's best keep secret. I take all of our cars there now. Contrary to the negative posts, all of the work that Long Meadow Auto Repair and Fuel has performed for my family over the last decade has been exceptional. I was in an auto accident with a $1,000 Deductible through my auto insurance. I had gotten a couple of estaments done on my car. All of them where well over 4 thousand dollars. The auto insurance company sent me a check for 3,200.00 to do the repair. They picked up my car and paid for the storage and then did body work on the car instead of replacing parts with new parts and then painted the entire car instead of just parts of the car. I looks like brand new and they did it all for what the insurance company paid. I did not have to pay the $1,000 deductible out of pocket. This was great since I did not have that kind of money laying around. I had my car back in 4 days instead of the 4-6weeks every one was telling me it was going to take. My car looks like new and runs great. They even sent the car out to a frame shop to make sure every thing was straight prior to doing the auto body. These guys will always have my business.
