I shopped several transmission repair shops and got many stories and prices without any of them really looking at my transmissions. Option Transmissions did a scan of the car with the snap-on modus scanner then they told me what was wrong and what it would take to fix it. They delivered what they promised and we are very happy with the results. They guarantee their work. I also liked the fact that the place was clean and well organized. Thanks John.

I had a good experience here. This is the first time I took my car in for a repair in San Antonio. I called them for a quote, I was happy with the price (I had done my research), they ordered the part, we made the appointment and then I brought it in. They fixed it in the amount of time they said they would even though I showed up late, they charged me the price they quoted and they didn't bring any new problems to my attention. They also gave me $25 off because I signed up for the text message discounts. I haven't been getting any texts since then but I got and used that first one. I haven't smelled oil since that day. They also gave me a stamp card to earn a free oil change. I'm thoroughly happy.

Brad's knowledge of diesel trucks is as good as anyone in the state. Nice to have such a good resource for my truck repirs.

These guys did a fantastic job today on my car. I had a very irritating noise coming from somewhere in my suspension. I had replaced a few parts on my own, but was becoming increasingly frustrated. The guys at the shop, especially Jacob, really were committed to helping diagnose the problem, and ultimately solving the riddle that was the noise. Thanks again, gentlemen. In 2010 I lived in NJ when I purchased my RV from Sun Motors. I purchased a 2003 class "C" RV in 2010 and it is still in good condition. I got a good deal and a good RV. At that time they worked with me and negotiated a few breaks from the owner whom had this RV on consignment with Sun Motors. I cannot say what type of business deals they do today, but they were honest with me and also worked with me to make the deal. They did have all the opportunity to take advantage of me after flying from NJ to Texas to purchase this RV. I would buy from them again. Paul

Professional work at great price

Never go there for any service. I was referred to Tilden for alignment work from Discount Tire due to car pulling to the right when accelerating. The mechanic/owner did the alignment ($79) and told me that wheel bearing needs to be replaced to fix the pulling problem ($300). After the replacement and tire rotation, the pulling problem got worse (now pulling while decelerating too). I left my car the following week for a day to diagnose and fix the pulling problem. He did not have a clue about the problem by the end of that day. I wasted $379 and hours of time and ended up having my car worse than before. He did not care about bad reputation or review. I went back to Discount Tire and explained what happened. They removed his business cards from the shop and will not recommend to anyone. Don't waste your time and money for visiting this mechanic!

THIS IS THE SAME RESPONSE WE SENT THE BBB. AFTER OUR RESONSE THEY DROPPED MR VALENCIA'S DISPUTE. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr. Valencia is completely and grossly misrepresenting this entire situation. I will be happy to answer Mr. Valencia points one by one. First, Mr. Valencia claims to have been charged $300+. This is not true. He was invoiced for one hour of diagnostics with tax and with other widely accepted industry charges his invoice was $112.99 of which he paid $100. Which claims "is all he had". I can forward "a screen shot" of his service file showing only one invoice. I can also forward a copy of his service invoice reflecting these charges. Second, Mr. Valencia claims we made his vehicle worse. This is also a misrepresentation. One of our employees who used to be a friend of Mr. Valencia towed his non-running vehicle to our shop at no charge. It left the same way we received it, not running. Third, Mr. Valencia makes several widely inaccurate claims about the time frame of these occurrences. Again, these are wrong. The vehicle arrived in mid May was diagnosed a few days later. After our repeated calls to Mr. Valencia to give him an estimate for the repairs he became agitated and it was our impression he felt the estimate was too high. We told Mr. Valencia we would investigate less expensive options, i.e. used parts or perhaps find a company that rebuild his ECU. We did ultimately find a used ECU with a much lower estimate. Mr. Valencia's Jeep then sat here with no contact for approximately two months. We finally did reach Mr. Valencia and told him we would have to start charging him for storage if he did not remove his vehicle. He did finally remove his vehicle in late July. After "short paying" his bill. Tuesday, October 23, Mr. Valencia came into our business and asked that we fix his cigarette lighter that he said we "********** up". little over a month ago i took my 1993 for mustang to have it looked at the reason why the clutch came loose. their so called mechanic told me the first time it needed a factory made(original clutch), after several minutes of discussion i told him to do what it needed to fix the problem for good. He REASSURED ME the problem will be corrected for good. long story short it hasn't been fixed and i am out 600.00 dls on my recent encounter with the owner/manager he was very blatant, he threatened me overall i was poorly treated, and he charged me another 100.00 and supposedly now he nows why my clutch is not fixed until i do something else that will cost me more more when in reality they should have fixed it right the first time. I will never go back. It's worth mentioning that as i was being poorly treated there were several customers witnessing the whole situation. I sure hope they or anybody else who is willing to get ripped off does not go back. That type of business does not need to exist, specially now days when times are hard its not at all easy to just chuckle up 700.00 plus dls.

I purchased a used 2004 Dodge Crew Cab truck. I had always bought new vehicles up until this truck. Buying a used truck was much less hassle and time consuming than I would have ever expected. I like the fact the salesman allowed me to make my own decision. Over all great experience and price.

Watch the prices and dont get short changed. The people there will try to over charge you or not give you the correct change back. they always do that, with the "Exception" of the nice older lady working mornings.

So sorry to be writing this, as we LOVE Tim Duncan, but he needs to know the shoddy details of his shop! My daughter paid for striping to be done on her car in May of 2015. The striping was wrinkled and looked bad after a couple months. My daughter called REPEATEDLY to request a time for the striping to be redone. She was told by "MIKE K." time & time again, to call back, because his "installer" had to match the stripe and he did not know what color it was, even though it was only a few months prior. My daughter was told repeatedly that she would have to WAIT for the installer to fit her into HIS schedule. EIGHT MONTHS later, when NO phone calls were being returned, we finally get a hold of "MIKE" again. He stated there would be a COST for the installer's time, for redoing the bad striping, even though we had a "5 Year" warranty, which we actually had to REQUEST in writing on the day of the install. VERY BAD SERVICE and RUDE People would take our calls and give no information, except to say, call back another time. Finally, after contacting "MIKE" and told him we have limited time between jobs to juggle transportation, my daughter left her car at their lot for a week, while on a business trip. "MIKE" forgot where he told her to put the keys to her car and seemed confused when we called. It is my guess they do this kind of thing very often! Finally, the installer got the job done, but they hardly acknowledged us at the front desk, and just drove her car to the front, so much as to say, here is your car, don't let the door hit you on the way out! We left without so much as a hello or goodbye! Thankfully, they did not request that we pay a cost for the installer's time, because they would be HARD PRESSED for that! Would NEVER go through those hoops again or do business with them again!

If you are ready to hand over your money to inexperience mechanics that do damage to our truck and a owner who doesn't return your calls then this is the place to go!! Do your research visit all the reviews there is a reason why this place is always switching management! This place gets an F on the BBB website!!

I went to change my wheel bearing out and the man at the register in the servicing area for automobiles was telling me to get an aligment. Im like WTF??? BTW I know my way around a engine i just didnt have a jack or a stand to lift the car and do it myself. They ALWAYS try to sell or OVERPRICEA the service you need!

well if you want an engine swap they can do that but if your gonna want it put back the same way they are not the people you want to trust fast service but very very half assed job. didnt even test drive it as long as the engine was in they are pretty much done with you ' just because you have all the tools doesnt mean your a mechanic i could have gone to a chop shop and would have recieved same service

Had been highly recOmmended but when I got my car back power steering was still leaking and the car didn't feel like anything had been done. When taken back they tried to tell me the power steering wasn't leaking it was the transmission. My transmission was fine. He wanted to sell me a car he was selling instead of fixing mine.

I went to this establishment and the tech's there where to conduct an inspection of the vehicle. Never once did they honk the horn,check blinkers, windshield wipers or brake lights. They popped the hood looked at the engine for a while and walked away for a long period of time then came back with a sticker. My complaint aside from the violation of not conducting the state required checks on my vehicle is. I feel that this establishment purposely messed with my truck while under the hood. It has under 39,000 miles on it and had no engine noise what so ever prior to my visit at this Midas however now it accelerates horribly and is rattling and whistleing in the engine compartment. When I called to discuss with the owner he did not want to state his name and of course denies any wrong doing. I would stay away from these crooks. BEWARE..I only give them a one rating because you cant rate a zero on this site.

Believe car should have not been repo for late payment of remainder of down, a late charge could have been added not the drastic measures Nancy took. My son had problems with paycheck not making enough last week due to rain and not working all days that week. His phone was off and he was out of town working so he could not call anyone. I had heart surgery and didn't know what happened. I tried my sons ph. and it was off when nancy called, i told her very quickly his ph. off and I didn't know where he was working, i would get back with her. yesterday I got call when car was repo. I tried talking to nancy and she didn't care to hear anything, so I asked to speak to you. nancy said, she didn't care who I speak to she is not excepting payment and not giving car back. Shame on Pep Boys….Scammers and thieves… The Pep Boys at 830 Military Dr. in San Antonio, Texas,are full of lies and deceit when it comes to servicing your tires. Your boss, Pep Boys President, Mike O’dell knows about this and will not get involved. So I now have to get rid of these tires via the net. I am starting with Ebay. This is how I cam about selling these sCrap art tires; Today I visited your Pep Boys location at 830 SE Military Dr. in San Antonio. I needed this visit to correct a vibration problem that was felt on my 1995 Mercury Mystique. This has been an on going problem since mid 2010, yet I was not made aware of this until recently from my brother. I entered the service department and was greeted by service advisor Johnny (I soon come to find out he is the manager, He did not portray the position). I explained that I had a vibration that was getting worse daily and would like to have the balance checked since I had the lifetime balance. Johnny proceeded to write up a service order, he then walked out to my vehicle looked at the driver side front tire and he came back into the service area stating to me that the tires were almost worn out and they needed to be replaced. I felt this was odd since he just looked at 1 tire, so, I asked what the tread depth was; he stated 3/32”. I then questioned him as to what was causing the vibration; being sarcastic, I asked, is it the air? Again, he stated that the tires are worn almost to the point of being illegal, which is 2/32” (a scare tactic to make a sale by instilling fear into the customer) At that point; the service technician was bringing my vehicle into the bay. My vehicle was lifted into the air by this technician after he performed an inspection in the engine compartment. While in the air the technician also jerked on the front suspension, apparently to ensure there were no loose parts. I asked Johnny to inform the technician be careful when removing the hubcaps since 1 hub cap was cracked on the l

*please share this story* Do not go to bautista automotive repair or you will be scammed. Yes This sorry excuse for a man that owns this shop ripped off and tried scamming my mom today. It’s really sad he literally had her believing he was gonna fix her car for 125$ Then he not only had her run all over the place getting parts for the car and then he was suppose to fix her car in 2 days and on day 2 came and he told her that he was about to do the job but told her that after changing the seals on the transmission it would probably not work and he was gonna have to charge her 300$ to take it to someone who would fix it for 800$. she changed her mind of fixing it there he told her she would have to pick up the car later that night or tomorrow cuz the car was blocked in and didn’t want to move the cars so she would have to come back later and get it and then and he then tried to scare her into not takin the car because he said the transmission fluid was completely empty cuz he checked it and there was not one drop of fluid in there and she would blow the transmission if she did and she took it anyway and he would not give her the key back until she paid him $30 or $50 because he “Diagnosed the car”, even though he didn’t need to since he knew we took it to have new gaskets installed on the transmission because we thought it had a leak. So he made her pay him just to get the keys and we took it to another location and luckily had it fixed it 5 minutes all that was wrong was it was a quart low on transmission fluid. So not only did he lie about it not having any transmission fluid to scare her to fixing it with him and then making her wait to pick up the car on his own time even though he was on site and then taking money from a senior citizen on a fixed income for not doing a dam thing but being a bad business man and a shitty mechanic and taking advantage of the elderly. And when she told him all this all he said is he has to make money he has a business to run and he did check the fluids but he didn’t even touch the car what so ever. He lied ?? about everything And tried to make her pay for a new transmission when it was just low on transmission fluid, and he refused to give her any money back. Please share this cuz anyone who is this evil of a person does not deserve anyone’s money and he is probably scamming a lot of other people and deserves to be publicly shamed!W
