I would like to let anyone searching for an honest VW mechanic or just need to buy a dependable transmission, as I did, Robert at Absolutely Advanced Automotive is the man you need to deal with. He has good transmissions at a fair price. I searched the internet for 3 days before I found Robert. He answered his phone himself and was able to answer all my questions and work within my budget. DO not do business with Mida's on Pat Booker and here is why...Def. would not be doing business with them again as I had in the past. I Took my truck in and left it there. I was pretty sure that I had a fouled spark plug. They ran test and called me stating that the plug in cylinder 1 was bad and asked if I wanted them to change it. Told them I had NGk plugs and they would have to replace all of them and asked how much it would be. Was told it would be $79.99 to replace all six which seemed ok since the plugs are $7 a piece and it is not a hard job to do. When I picked the truck up I was told it was $253.07 after arguing I had no choice but to pay to get my truck back. They said sorry for the misunderstanding we could give you a few free oil changes. Explained I do not prepay for oil changes and I just want to be charged what I was quoted. In the end I payed them the$253.07 and now will do my best to make sure no one does business with them or any of the locations owned by this group.

Everything went very well. Best of all was that they employee who attended me spoke Spanish. I didn't have any problem expressing what I needed. Overall, I felt very attended to.

I had a good experience here. This is the first time I took my car in for a repair in San Antonio. I called them for a quote, I was happy with the price (I had done my research), they ordered the part, we made the appointment and then I brought it in. They fixed it in the amount of time they said they would even though I showed up late, they charged me the price they quoted and they didn't bring any new problems to my attention. They also gave me $25 off because I signed up for the text message discounts. I haven't been getting any texts since then but I got and used that first one. I haven't smelled oil since that day. They also gave me a stamp card to earn a free oil change. I'm thoroughly happy.
