These guys did a fantastic job today on my car. I had a very irritating noise coming from somewhere in my suspension. I had replaced a few parts on my own, but was becoming increasingly frustrated. The guys at the shop, especially Jacob, really were committed to helping diagnose the problem, and ultimately solving the riddle that was the noise. Thanks again, gentlemen. Excellent work, a fair price, and great customer service !!

I shopped several transmission repair shops and got many stories and prices without any of them really looking at my transmissions. Option Transmissions did a scan of the car with the snap-on modus scanner then they told me what was wrong and what it would take to fix it. They delivered what they promised and we are very happy with the results. They guarantee their work. I also liked the fact that the place was clean and well organized. Thanks John.

I want to thank Chris for his professionalism and care while repairing my daughters BMW while away at college. Chris arranged to have her car picked up and taken to his shop where he diagnosed the problem and replaced her starter at a very reasonable charge. My daughter is not familiar with San Antonio and did not have a way to pick up her car. Chris, understanding of our situation, volunteered to drop it off to her after hours. It’s nice to know that there are still shops out there that operate with integrity and our sincere to your needs. I look forward to doing business again. Thank you.

Professional work at great price
In 2010 I lived in NJ when I purchased my RV from Sun Motors. I purchased a 2003 class "C" RV in 2010 and it is still in good condition. I got a good deal and a good RV. At that time they worked with me and negotiated a few breaks from the owner whom had this RV on consignment with Sun Motors. I cannot say what type of business deals they do today, but they were honest with me and also worked with me to make the deal. They did have all the opportunity to take advantage of me after flying from NJ to Texas to purchase this RV. I would buy from them again. Paul
Never go there for any service. I was referred to Tilden for alignment work from Discount Tire due to car pulling to the right when accelerating. The mechanic/owner did the alignment ($79) and told me that wheel bearing needs to be replaced to fix the pulling problem ($300). After the replacement and tire rotation, the pulling problem got worse (now pulling while decelerating too). I left my car the following week for a day to diagnose and fix the pulling problem. He did not have a clue about the problem by the end of that day. I wasted $379 and hours of time and ended up having my car worse than before. He did not care about bad reputation or review. I went back to Discount Tire and explained what happened. They removed his business cards from the shop and will not recommend to anyone. Don't waste your time and money for visiting this mechanic!
I purchased a used 2004 Dodge Crew Cab truck. I had always bought new vehicles up until this truck. Buying a used truck was much less hassle and time consuming than I would have ever expected. I like the fact the salesman allowed me to make my own decision. Over all great experience and price.

8/14/16: My transmission broke down in downtown San Antonio. I was visiting from Las Cruces, NM. Needless to say, I was in a bind. It was Sunday and I had no wheels in a strange city far from home. I called a few places with 24/7 towing and Gary from Select Transmission was the first to get back to me. Beggars can't be choosers, so I had the truck towed to their shop. 8/15/16: The parking lot at Select is jammed with vehicles. This might be a sign of them being in high demand because of their excellent service, but it's really because they are slow and/or overbooked. I'd be fine with slow, IF the work is done properly, but that was not to be in my case. They were super nice and cool as they talked knowledgeably about automotive repair. I ended up ordering an upgraded 4L80E with a nationwide 3 year warranty and was able to get financing for the whole cost of the repair, approximately $3800. I told them it would be about 3 weeks before I could arrange to get back out to SA to pick up the truck. I caught a flight home for $350 since I had to work the next day. 8/29/16: I called Select to get an update. Gary said it would be ready by Wednesday, the 31st. I let them know I'd be coming out at the end of the week, which would be the start of Labor Day weekend. 9/2/16: I took an afternoon flight to SA (another $350) and got to Select at about 5pm to pick up the truck. They had apparently been rushed to put it back together...so much for being done by the 31st. Gary told me there was a noise and they couldn't figure out the source. I knew of a noise coming from my front transfer case every now and then, so I told him that was probably it. He also told me that the transmission would make some noise for a few hundred miles as it broke in. Not knowing any better, I drove it for about 90 miles while there was this loud scraping sound. I ended up parking it at a friend's place. Underneath the truck there was evidence of fluid leakage and the skid plate that protected the transmission was missing. The shop was closed for the weekend so I couldn't take it back until Tuesday. 9/3/16: I called Select and got Gary the lying rat on the phone. He was at some Labor Day weekend tailgate party and the shop was closed. He told me to check the fluid level. No help there, the fluid level was fine. 9/5/16: I wasn't going to drive the truck 700 miles making that noise and I wasn't going to leave my truck there for another three weeks so I arranged to have it shipped back to a transmission shop in El Paso for $500 and rented a car to drive home ($120). 9/10/16: My truck arrived at the shop in El Paso. I owe the guy there $400 for the balance of having my truck shipped. 9/22/16: I make it into the El Paso shop and pay the $400. He had already inspected the truck and pulled the rear transfer case off the back of the transmission. It had not been filled with oil, the filler plug on top was missing and the drain plug was loose. The inside was full of metal shavings. Total cost to replace with a rebuilt unit: $1241. Thanks a lot, Select Transmission! To be fair, the transmission itself was fine and installed properly. But PROPER removal and replacement of the rear transfer case is an integral part of the job and this was not done.

I wish I could give Lee's motor co zero stars, one is too good for this cheat of an owner. I brought my truck in to get a leak in my oil pan fixed. it took 8 days to get my truck back the first time. a day after receiving my truck I noticed it was still leaking. under closer examination I found that one of the bolts holding the oil pan was stripped and would not seal properly. I brought my truck back a second time, Lee assured me it would taken care of. over a week went by without a call or update. I had to stay on top of him the entire time. I got my truck back the second time, and what do you know, its still leaking! brought it back a third time. this time around my car has been with them for 15 days! I had to call them again just to get updated on the progress of my car. I was told they couldnt get too it and it would be a few more days! UNACCEPTABLE! I asked for my money back so I could take it else where and I was simply told "no" I would not be getting my money back and he would continue to try and fix my truck. if you decide to take your car to lee, prepare to get a rental. because they WILL take their time. this has been the worse experience ive had with a machanic and this nightmare still isnt over. lee, you are a waste of time and money.

I took my daughters Rav4 in for service before she had to drive back to OKC. They said it needed shocks which I approved. They also suggested getting the headlights defogged, cabin filter replaced, air conditioner checked, etc. Normally I don't do this stuff at the dealer but since it was there already and my daughter needed to get on the road I approved the work. 6.5 hours later it was finally ready. I paid the bill and was reading the receipt while waiting for the car to be brought up when I realized they did not do the shocks. I just paid $350 for all the miscellaneous crap they talked me into and they didn't do the work I initially brought it in for. The service writer said they did not have the shocks in stock. I told him that he should have called me and I would have picked up the car and got my daughter on the road 6 hours earlier. He said he forgot. I spoke to "Bud" the manager and after telling him that my daughter had to get on the road immediately, he offered to order the shocks and discount the labor when they got them in. Shame on Pep Boys….Scammers and thieves… The Pep Boys at 830 Military Dr. in San Antonio, Texas, are full of lies and deceit when it comes to servicing your tires. Your boss, Pep Boys President, Mike O’dell knows about this and will not get involved. So I now have to get rid of these tires via the net. I am starting with Ebay. This is how I cam about selling these sCrap art tires; Today I visited your Pep Boys location at 830 SE Military Dr. in San Antonio. I needed this visit to correct a vibration problem that was felt on my 1995 Mercury Mystique. This has been an on going problem since mid 2010, yet I was not made aware of this until recently from my brother. I entered the service department and was greeted by service advisor Johnny (I soon come to find out he is the manager, He did not portray the position). I explained that I had a vibration that was getting worse daily and would like to have the balance checked since I had the lifetime balance. Johnny proceeded to write up a service order, he then walked out to my vehicle looked at the driver side front tire and he came back into the service area stating to me that the tires were almost worn out and they needed to be replaced. I felt this was odd since he just looked at 1 tire, so, I asked what the tread depth was; he stated 3/32”. I then questioned him as to what was causing the vibration; being sarcastic, I asked, is it the air? Again, he stated that the tires are worn almost to the point of being illegal, which is 2/32” (a scare tactic to make a sale by instilling fear into the customer) At that point; the service technician was bringing my vehicle into the bay. My vehicle was lifted into the air by this technician after he performed an inspection in the engine compartment. While in the air the technician also jerked on the front suspension, apparently to ensure there were no loose parts. I asked Johnny to inform the technician be careful when removing the hubcaps since 1 hub cap was cracked on the l

I went here because my door latch was broken and my door wouldn't open. When I told the mechanic all he did was pull on the door and handle(which wouldn't open of course) and decided that the problem was the motor in the door. He charged me over $200 and made me wait for five hours before they finally called and said that it was the door latch and he needed another $100 dollars. We said forget it and when we picked it up they didn't even clean off the grease marks they made of over the inside of the doors and window. AND MY DOOR STILL DIDN'T OPEN! We called again to have them fix the botched job and they said they were going to charge $50 JUST TO OPEN THE DOOR TO LOOK AT IT! DO NOT go to this place unless you want to be ripped off by half-ass mechanics. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I took my car in a few months back to get the oil changed. Had a decent experience, it is close to my office so I was able to drop off my car and come back after work. I got the synthetic blend oil change for $20 and thought it was a great deal. I attempted to bring my car in again this morning and they told me that the $20 deal would not work for my car and I had to use the $50 full synthetic. I was extremely concerned because they either put the wrong oil in my car the first time or were trying to take advantage of me and get me to spend more money. Needless to say I did not leave my car there and will no longer use their services. The sad part is that it was the same service manager I dealt with the first time that told me the $20 deal would not work for my car. When I explained to him that I took it to him previously and was concerned that the wrong oil has been in my car for three months he shrugged his shoulders and said we will flush it out. It was absolutely ridiculous and I hope he does not feel that way with all services that they provide. Next time he may shrug his shoulders when they don't put the lug nuts on tight enough.
I went to this establishment and the tech's there where to conduct an inspection of the vehicle. Never once did they honk the horn, check blinkers, windshield wipers or brake lights. They popped the hood looked at the engine for a while and walked away for a long period of time then came back with a sticker. My complaint aside from the violation of not conducting the state required checks on my vehicle is. I feel that this establishment purposely messed with my truck while under the hood. It has under 39,000 miles on it and had no engine noise what so ever prior to my visit at this Midas however now it accelerates horribly and is rattling and whistleing in the engine compartment. When I called to discuss with the owner he did not want to state his name and of course denies any wrong doing. I would stay away from these crooks. BEWARE..I only give them a one rating because you cant rate a zero on this site.
If you want a company that is liars and crooks than this is your type of car lot. Paid cash for my car guess what it was a Lemon from day one. Thank You for Screwing me over it taught me a lesson.
I would not recommend this place to any person(s) looking to buy a vehicle. They do not like to refund any money back and when they finally do they do not give the full amount back. I was going to purchase a 2001 Audi and I gave a 1600 deposit. I was not allowed to take the car off the lot due to not having insurance on the vehicle because it was late in the day to purchase insurance. The next day I lost my job and was not able to make payments so I called Yvonne to inform her of the mishaps and ask for my down payment back and her response was,"We don't give refunds back." I told her that i did'nt even have the car in my possesion and it was still on their premises. Yvonnes response was,"Well I will see what I can do for you. I will talk to the owner." When i arrived to talk to her she said that she can refund me 1400 of my deposit and charge me 200 for processing fees. This company does not do credit or background checks so i dont feel i had to pay 200 in processing fees.

*please share this story* Do not go to bautista automotive repair or you will be scammed. Yes This sorry excuse for a man that owns this shop ripped off and tried scamming my mom today. It’s really sad he literally had her believing he was gonna fix her car for 125$ Then he not only had her run all over the place getting parts for the car and then he was suppose to fix her car in 2 days and on day 2 came and he told her that he was about to do the job but told her that after changing the seals on the transmission it would probably not work and he was gonna have to charge her 300$ to take it to someone who would fix it for 800$. she changed her mind of fixing it there he told her she would have to pick up the car later that night or tomorrow cuz the car was blocked in and didn’t want to move the cars so she would have to come back later and get it and then and he then tried to scare her into not takin the car because he said the transmission fluid was completely empty cuz he checked it and there was not one drop of fluid in there and she would blow the transmission if she did and she took it anyway and he would not give her the key back until she paid him $30 or $50 because he “Diagnosed the car”, even though he didn’t need to since he knew we took it to have new gaskets installed on the transmission because we thought it had a leak. So he made her pay him just to get the keys and we took it to another location and luckily had it fixed it 5 minutes all that was wrong was it was a quart low on transmission fluid. So not only did he lie about it not having any transmission fluid to scare her to fixing it with him and then making her wait to pick up the car on his own time even though he was on site and then taking money from a senior citizen on a fixed income for not doing a dam thing but being a bad business man and a shitty mechanic and taking advantage of the elderly. And when she told him all this all he said is he has to make money he has a business to run and he did check the fluids but he didn’t even touch the car what so ever. He lied ?? about everything And tried to make her pay for a new transmission when it was just low on transmission fluid, and he refused to give her any money back. Please share this cuz anyone who is this evil of a person does not deserve anyone’s money and he is probably scamming a lot of other people and deserves to be publicly shamed!W

Paul
